Huntsville, AR

Restoring flow and function through a former lakebed

Flow State restored 4,200 linear feet of War Eagle Creek through the former Lake Huntsville following dam removal, rebuilding a stable channel and connected wetland system across the site.

Rogers, Arkansas

Reducing flood risk and reconnecting a creek to its floodplain

Installation of rock toe protection/rock revetments, cross veins, and constructed riffles. Around 39,000 Cu Yards of Earthwork were moved for the channel and floodplain restoration.

Siloam Springs, Arkansas

Stabilizing an eroding reach within an otherwise healthy system

The Rock Creek Streambank Restoration Site is located at the outlet where Rock Creek drains into the West Fork White River. The project utilized a toe-wood structure in combination with native vegetation establishment to create a stable bank profile with appropriate floodplain features to promote long-term stability of the site.

New Stream Restoration Project

Restoring approximately a quarter mile of stream channel through the former lakebed, following removal of a dam originally built in the 1930s.
Reconnecting aquatic habitat by removing a barrier that had blocked organism passage and free-flowing stream function for decades.
Stabilizing the new channel and streambanks using wood toe protection, rock riffles, and bioengineered bank treatments with native plantings.

Siloam Springs, AR

Sager Creek Phase II

Restored a 150-foot eroding reach of Sager Creek in partnership with the IRWP and the City of Siloam Springs.
Installed roughly 100 feet of toe-wood and log vein structures for grade control and aquatic habitat.
Stabilized streambanks with native sod mats, native plantings, and coir erosion control matting.
