Summary

Flow State restored a 150-foot reach of Sager Creek, stabilizing active erosion and reinforcing channel structure within an otherwise stable corridor.

The Challenge

This section of creek was actively eroding, with little bank protection, despite being bordered upstream and downstream by stable channels and mature vegetation.

The Approach

The team installed approximately 100 feet of toe wood and added log veins for grade control and habitat. Streambanks were regraded and reinforced with native sod mats, plantings, and coir erosion control matting to prevent further loss.

The Outcome

The restored reach is now stable and aligned with surrounding channel conditions, supporting habitat while reducing the risk of continued erosion.
