Project Description
This project was an emergency restoration to prevent a dormitory from being washed into the Clinton River. The river had eroded into a 30+ foot tall sand bank which was only 20 feet from the back of a dormitory building on campus. The goal was to move the stream channel across the valley to its previous path and away from the at-risk infrastructure. The realignment included approximately 438 ft of stream channel. Natural Channel Design, such as toe-wood and brush mattresses, as well as rock and log grade control structures, was utilized.
